Nishi-Ogikubo is a quiet, safe, and peaceful neighborhood where you almost forget you are only a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the big city of Tokyo. The town is well-known for its numerous antique shops, unique cafes, and secondhand book stores, providing entertainment for all generations. There are also some parks around the neighborhood such as Zenpukuji Park and Inokashira Park. They are both famous for cherry blossom viewing and their autumn leaves. Nishi-Ogikubo Nishi-Ogikubo station is a 12-minute train ride from Shinjuku. The station building has been renovated in recently. In front of the ticket gates, you will find a modern kiosk called 'Dila’. There’s also a bakery, wine shop, and Chinese food stand. Local festivals and events are held throughout the year in front of the station and at nearby shrines.
